Good Catholic Kids is available now on Amazon. It’s a queer coming-of-age/ coming out novel that takes place on a two-week cross country road trip to World Youth Day, 1993, the biggest event of the 90s. It’s based on a true story and is the first book in the series, “The Offbeat Life Of Ren Anonymous.”

In-Patient is a spin-off of “Good Catholic Kids.” “In-Patient: A Psych Ward Story” takes place on an adolescent psych ward, during Autumn of 1993. It is also based on real life experiences and is part of “The Offbeat Life Of Ren Anonymous,” although they are separate stories.

New Horizons School is another separate spinoff that takes place in the mid 90s, at a small, diverse, alternative high school in Boston where the school puts human rights and acceptance above academics. New Horizons School 3 will be out soon and then I am going to release a couple of prequels that go back as far as 1989. The seven-book series will cover Ren’s life from September of 1989 to June of 1996. I may eventually do a couple of books about Ren’s adult life, as well as one of Ren’s childhood, but for now, I’m just looking to have a complete coming-of-age story, from age ten to seventeen. Once I finish that, I’m moving on to something almost entirely fiction, and it will be my first time doing so since the 90s.

The Godchild Trilogy has recently been updated and is available again on Amazon. It’s a psychological thriller about my battle with mental illness. It includes the story of my Bipolar psychosis, what brought it on, and how I survived. The Godchild 1: My So-Called Delusions, The Godchild 2: The Mixtape Years and The Godchild 3: Becoming An Artist are all available. This is the story that I had to write before it was too late. I didn’t wanna leave this earth without getting it out there. It has potential to be a powerful mind-opener.

This was me with some of my art hanging on the wall at The Middle East Nightclub in November 2023, and my books beside me.

Some of my plans for 2024 include

  1. Edit and publish “New Horizons School 3,” “Karen’s Web Of Chaos,” and “Karen’s Brain Is Insane”
  2. Write a mind-bender called “The Teal Shed”
  3. Write an epic fiction, based on the story of “The Godchild” but told in a grandiose, fantastical way, called “Jaime Christmas And The Story Of The Princess King.”
  4. Do at least one neo-expressionistic portrait a month, based on work I am doing in therapy
  5. Keep up to date with social media, my blog, and this website
  6. Finish drawing my deck of original tarot cards and have them made into cards
  7. Art shows and book signings, book giveaways and more!
