“Before the Rhyme” (The Early Words of Cliche’: On My Way To Breaking/ 1992-2006) is a collection of early poetry by Jymi Cliche, done between 1992 2006, right before his first psychotic breakdown which changed the style of his poetry, drastically. Most of the poems in this book don’t rhyme, other than a couple at the end.
The poetry is accompanied by some of Jymi’s old art and there are photos and descriptions of him between the ages of 14 to present day, which clearly show his gender transition and other changes over the years.
